When we agree to start working together I will signpost you to this page of my website so that you have the opportunity to read, understand and agree to the information here.
Confidentiality & privacy for clients
Anything you disclose to me during your sessions is confidential with the exception of disclosures of risk of serious harm to yourself or another person, concerns about the safety of a child or involvement in illegal activity when I am required to make a disclosure under UK/EU Law as I reside in the UK. I will not pass your personal details onto another person or organisation.
I will not provide details of your sessions to any third party and if your case is discussed with a Clinical Supervisor, your details will be anonymised.
I do not provide letters detailing your attendance at or content of sessions to any third party and I am not able to offer any information to be used in divorce, child contact or other legal proceedings.
I keep a record of your attendance at sessions and a general note of the issues we have discussed. I may also ask you to provide your name, date of birth, postal address, telephone number and email address and your GP’s name and surgery. This information is kept electronically only – I no longer use physical paperwork for environmental and security reasons.
You remain responsible for the inherent risks of transmitting data over the internet but I do take reasonable steps to ensure that this website is secure. I do not store credit card or payment details or share these with third parties.
Cancellation & changes
Your package or sessions must be paid for in advance by a mutually agreed payment method at the time of booking. While we are working together, if you need to change the date &/or time of a session, I am happy to rearrange at a mutually convenient time for us both at no extra cost in the event of you providing me with more than 48 hours notice of the change.
Changes that take place less than 48 hours prior to your session will result in the loss of that session.
If I need to postpone your session due to an emergency or sickness, I will offer you the opportunity to rebook your session at a mutually convenient time for us both.
If you are late for a session or not available without prior notice, you will lose that session. If you are late, I may be able to proceed with the remainder of your session at my discretion.
I offer packages of therapeutic coaching and consultancy, support & other services with advance payment that are strictly non-refundable. You agree to these terms & conditions upon booking & payment.
In the event of a complaint, please contact me in the first instance & I will always do my best to resolve the situation. I’m always keen to take feedback on board in order to improve the services I offer.
I’m a UK based Relate qualified Therapist & PGCE qualified Trainer with extensive experience working with couples & singles. Please ask if you’d like to know more about my professional qualifications & training. I operate an independent Consultancy & I am not affiliated to or part of any organisation, charity, professional body or company. I combine my skillset to offer a Therapeutic Coaching And Consultancy Service online so that I can offer you the support that you need without being limited in the scope of that support.
All information & advice that I offer is based upon my own opinion & offered with the best of intention. Talking therapies are never intended to diagnose or cure disease & are complementary to conventional medicine. If you are concerned about your health or well-being it is important that you consult a medically trained doctor.
You are responsible for your own health & well-being. All decisions you make are your own. Results depend upon many factors, including your personal commitment to change, the choices you make, investment of time & energy between sessions and the unique circumstances in your life. Results are therefore not guaranteed – whether you choose to continue or end your relationships will always be entirely your own decision. Sometimes it is the right decision for couples to separate & if you decide this is right for you, I will support you with this & can help you explore your options moving forward.
I comply with the Data Protection Act 1998 and any other applicable Data Protection legislation.
